Can be used for fully automated analysis of image quality parameters
Yunfen used all the space on the graphics card, with a large amount of information. In contrast, the actual usage rate of ISO's old resolution test cards is only 10%, which means that 10% of the content can be used for data-driven analysis.
Avoiding image tone overflow caused by high contrast images, resulting in greater exposure tolerance, higher accuracy, and repeatability.
More information is helpful for analyzing signal processing, such as sharpening, denoising, etc.
Fully automatic image recognition and localization: No need to manually select the analysis area, the testing area can be fully automatically located.
Supports multiple sizes and materials: from 5X5cm to 110X187cm, materials can be matte, semi matte, or backlit, glass chrome plated materials (used for small format high-precision analysis).
The SFRplus test card can be used in conjunction with the SFRplus module in the software Imatest to analyze the following parameters:
MTF clarity/resolution
Distortion and field of view angle
Hot Pixel
ISO sensitivity
Color accuracy
lateral chromatic aberration
Gmma and color tone response.
SFRplus test card has many optional items
Contrast selection
10: The contrast between 1 and 2:1 can be used to analyze the response of nonlinear signals
10: Only one contrast helps analyze the 3D chart analysis of the entire shooting range
4: The contrast is consistent with the 2014 version of ISO-12233 standard
Medium type - semi glossy or matte material
Matte paper has the advantage of reducing reflection, making the reflection more uniform. Compared to matte photo paper test cards, it has less specular reflection. The MTF extreme value of the test card for matte paper is relatively smaller than that of matte paper.
Matte photo paper has more details and a higher maximum density compared to matte paper. However, due to its strong mirror reflection, it is usually not suitable for testing wide-angle lenses.
Selection of aspect ratio
A test chart of 5x9 blocks, with a scale suitable for a typical 3:2 DSLR camera and a typical 16:9 HDTV format.
A test chart of 5x7 blocks, with a scale of 4:3 suitable for typical card cameras and mobile phones.
Resolution of inkjet printing test card
The resolution of all the inkjet printed test cards we provide is usually close to the MTF50 value of 5 cycles/mm, so when selecting the size of the test card, it needs to be considered based on this. It is not appropriate to use a test card that is too small to test a high-resolution camera, as it will reduce the resolution of the imaging system to the maximum resolution of the test card. Therefore, it is necessary to consider that the size of the test card should meet the minimum focusing distance, and the resolution should be greater than that of the sensor.
Optional sizes and effective analysis area
For cameras within 12 million pixels, a medium-sized test card can be used. A large-sized test card can test cameras ranging from 12 million pixels to 24 million pixels, with cameras above 24 million pixels requiring an oversized test card.
Card size
Square Dimensions | ||
5x9 | 5x7 | |
X-Small (Ultra Small) | 8.5" x 15" | 8.5 x 10" |
Small | 14" x 24" | 14" x 20" |
Medium (Medium) | 24" x 40" | 24" x 34" |
Large | 44" x 60" | 44" x 60" |
X-Large (Extra Large) | 44" x 74" | 44" x 64" |
Effective shooting area
The effective shooting area of the image card includes a portion of blank space outside the upper and lower black borders, as it is necessary for the SFRplus testing module to automatically analyze and locate the testing area.
Square Dimensions | ||
5x9 | 5x7 | |
X-Small (Ultra Small) | 7.85" x 15" | 6.75" x 10" |
Small | 12.5" x 24" | 13.5" x 20" |
Medium (Medium) | 22" x 39.22" | 22" x 33" |
Large | 33" x 59" | 40" x 59" |
X-Large (Extra Large) | 42" x 72" | 42" x 59" |
Color block elements
The color block element includes 20 color blocks, which can be used to analyze color reproduction, but their measurement data needs to be selected as reference data.
Pre distortion selection
The test chart card with pre distortion can be used to analyze wide-angle and fisheye lenses, and can adjust different distortion levels.
Level | Matrix (5x7) | Matrix (5x9) |
No distortion | [0 0] | [0 0] |
Distort (small distortion) | [0.833 1.123] | [0.833 1.375] |
Distort+(large distortion) | [1.167 1.577] | [1.167 1.982] |
Ultradistortion | [1.333 2.313] | [1.333 2.958] |
We do not recommend using glossy media to test wide-angle lenses or pre distortion test cards as they can easily produce reflections.
